Owing
to the growing interest shown by surgeons, the 10 000th ESOP
HA femur implant was fitted in December 2001. We are glad of
that success, and want to share it with you.Over a 11 year
period, ESOP HA is accumulating very good long term results.
We
suggest you discover more of the ESOP HA prosthesis by
visiting this site.
We
remain at your service, including through the contact link.
We wish you a pleasant visit on this site.

The
ESOP stem was designed to provide both
|
- perfect metaphysis
adaptation
- and good shaft implant
centring
The morphoadaptation requires
:
- giving up single-body prosthesis
homothety;
- having another prosthetic
approach;
- using an innovation : the modular
prosthesis.

That is why ESOP HA has been
designed in two separate parts, which the surgeon can chose
and assemble in order to adjust the stem to the shape of the
femur in the best conditions.

Metaphysiary
part
It was designed to provide the
greatest support on the endosted metaphysiary bone
:
- it is tulip-shaped ;
- its horizontal section is round in
its internal and external sections ;
- it comes in increasing
sizes.
|
|
It
provides the best filling of the bone metaphysis. The choice
between 10 right and left sizes helps chose the best implant
for the size of the metaphysis.

|
Distal
part
The
ESOP HA shaft is chosen based on the femoral shaft size.
It comes in 7 different diameter sizes.

. Prior
to fitting the ESOP HA prosthesis, the metaphysiary and
shaft sections are screwed together.

The ESOP
HA
customised
implant provides 70 different
metaphysis and shaft combinations for a better adjustment of
the stem to the patient's bone morphology.
